What Projects is
Projects is the project management module of Startup MIS. It holds your tasks, sprints and milestones, and shows them in the view that suits the moment.
Work, in the view you need
Five views, one set of tasks
Switch between List, Board (kanban), Timeline, Calendar and Gantt. Every view shows the same tasks, so nothing is entered twice.
Sprints
Group tasks into sprints and see what is planned for each one.
Parent tasks and sub tasks
Break a large task into smaller ones. Each sub task sits under its parent task.
Task types and statuses
Mark work as a task, a bug or a milestone. Move it through statuses as it progresses.
Milestones
Set the dates that matter. Milestones show up in the views next to the work that leads to them.
Search
Find a project or a task by name from anywhere in the app.
Access you control
Member-only projects
Each project has an owner and members. Only they can open it.
Enforced in the database
Access is checked by row level security in the database, not only in the interface.
A public status link
Share a link that shows milestones only. Tasks and other details stay private.
Next to Finance
Budgets and actuals live in Finance. The work that drives them lives in Projects. Both sit in the same Startup MIS workspace, under the same project.
